MBN Texas charts course for third decade of commitment

March 25, 2008

2008 marks the beginning of MBN Texas’ (Minority Business News) three decades of service, support and advocacy in the minority business supplier diversity community. During this time, we have been honored with over 75 awards for our work with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the National Urban League, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the American Indian Chamber of Commerce, the Asian Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Commerce and Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), just to name a few.tn_don_mckneely.jpg I can assure you we will not rest on our laurels as MBN Texas fast tracks into its third decade of progressively promoting and working to build minority business as a key component of corporate America’s supply chain and as a strategic ally to our U.S. economy.

Our focus and vision for 2008 is simple:
We will provide the content and resources that our readers need and must have to do a better job in the workplace and their businesses.
Our mantra is:
Collaboration – Partnership – Innovation – Speed – Community Contribution.
For over 20 years now, MBN Texas has been built on the principles of always giving back and delivering value to all of its stakeholders – minority-owned businesses, corporate, government and public entity customers and our community patrons.

MBN Texas is up for the task and is progressively optimistic about the future. Our vision of “Building a better tomorrow…today, through minority business development” can be witnessed throughout the pages of this magazine. In fact, we have kicked off this issue with one of our 2008 special focuses, the state of minority business development featuring the minority supplier development councils.

As the year progresses we will continue to have new and exciting coverage.

Thanks for your support. We look forward to the continuing journey
