Video Has Taken Over The Web!

June 4, 2008

Recently, comScore Video Metrix reported that there were a record-breaking 10 billion videos viewed online by US internet user in December of 2007.

Broadband penetration is almost saturated and ad-serving technologies are more sophisticated now, leading to more video and/or interactive campaigns for advertisers.  More than 25% of consumers said they regularly watch videos online, and the top video aggregators distribute millions of video streams daily.  Surely, this is why over a quarter of advertisers and digital marketers are already using videos to market their products and services.

Video formats are more effective for marketers, and more lucrative for publishers. This blog series is for company owners, senior advertisers, marketers, publishers, and content providers who are using or considering this very fast-moving medium. The aim is to educate, inform and provide a general but comprehensive overview of online video advertising innovations, tools, formats, strategy, metrics, and creative.

Stay tuned! Our next blog session will discuss innovations in online advertising.
